The determination of biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) is one of the important parameters in water resource management. BOD is not only an important indicator for evaluating water quality and wastewater treatment effectiveness, but also an important basis for planning and designing wastewater treatment equipment.
The respiration method (pressure gauge method) is a simple and reliable method for measuring BOD. OxiTop? The BOD measurement system based on this principle consumes oxygen by microorganisms in the water sample, and the CO2 produced is absorbed by NaOH, forming negative pressure in a closed measurement bottle, OxiTop? Directly read the measured value of mg/l BOD by measuring the change in pressure.
